I started my career as an auditor where I learned the foundations of accounting, UK accounting standards (FRS 102 & 105). Soon after I worked as an Actuarial & Finance consultant to some of the UK’s biggest insurers and banks before qualifying as a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England Wales (ICAEW) In 2020.

I then worked as a technical expert for a FTSE 100 company, I was responsible for building the core accounting model that valued the company’s financial position. I was further responsible for interpreting complex IFRS financial standards and implementing them in a hands on way. There I learned about integrating new business, dealing with major shareholder updates and building finance process that’s repeatable, robust and modern.

I grown frustrated by slow, old processes, excessive excel workbooks and have seen first hand in over 30 businesses just how messy and confusing finance can be.

I’ve always had a passion to help people with finance on the smaller scale and in 2024 I started Pelikan Finance. The name, inspired by one of my favourite restaurants in the world has taken me to meet incredible, ambitious people. It’’s been a joy to see business grow, to overcome challenges and ultimately to help founders focus on their core offering.

I always use modern, clouded tools backed by a deep understanding of technical accounting to build processes which make finance simple and transparent. I’m organised and proactive and love to work in a commercial way.
